Tips to help Carol's Capers! And other recipes
Pam writes: Regarding your capers, you could try deep-frying them. Delicious. A bit like crispy fried onion without the onion flavour.
Robyn writes: How to make potato chips. Slice the potato with your peeler to get very thin slices lay them on a tray with baking paper spray with cooking oil spray and bake in oven fairly hot for a few minutes until golden in colour sprinkle lightly with salt, chicken salt or any other flavoured salt or pepper eg lemon pepper, any herb sprinkles you may have.
Meredith writes: Capers go well in puttanesca pasta sauce: garlic, tomatoes, olives, capers, chilli flakes, parsley, +/-anchovies with fettuccine, penne or spaghetti. I usually add a small amount of onions, and sometimes eggplant.
